1954 Chevrolet 1500 Truck for Sale

Originally a Chevrolet pick up, a more functional flat bed with tool boxes replaced the original box bed. It has removable stake wood sides. Independent front suspension with disk brakes, 350 Chevy V8, with 350 automatic transmission and a late model Chevy rear end. I put in the 350 motor (everything professionally installed), suspension upgrades, springs, plus virtually everything that moves. Goes straight down the road. Everything works. Has a heater but not air conditioning.

I have owned this truck since 1994. It is a good running daily driver/worker. Not a rust bucket or scabbed-together mess. Solid. Proven. Reliable. Until this past year, it has been garaged since I bought it over 20 years ago. It drives more like a car than a truck because of the front suspension. Everybody who rides in it is impressed.

There is some road rash on the front bumper and elsewhere that will sand right off. Or put on a chrome bumper. Nothing is rusted through. Solid body that needs some smoothing out if you want to paint the entire truck. The main thing is, the truck is built right. Built to drive nicely and reliably.

Having moved recently, I don't have a need for the truck anymore. I would like to sell it to somebody who understands they couldn't build a truck like this for 2 times the money.

It has a nice stance and is a cool truck. Drive it to New York, the job site or hardware store.

If you are reading this ad, the truck is still for sale. $11,500. obo.

1954 Chevy Pickup Truck

We have used this truck for several remodels and some landscaping -- it is happiest when it is full of weight and working. Now I am in my 70s and no longer doing this hard work - but this Chevy is still younger than me and has some years in it yet! Of course it has some age issues as expected. Have maintained it in working condition but never got around to the paint job and a few other things -- your turn?

Runs fine. Straight six cylinder engine. Over the last few years we have invested in this truck -- a new bed in the back, a lot of new electrical throughout including new alternator, new radiator, new outer and inner bearings, new front brake shoes, new fuel float and fuel supply hose, wipers fixed, three new U-joints, steering system tightened up, new suspension bushings.

This 3600 series three quarter ton features the "five windows" (curved windows in the back corners of the cab) which are charming and sought after. As it is a NM truck, the body is solid and not rusted out. You are welcome to call with questions or for an appointment to come by and check it out. Thank you for looking!
